KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Ward McCance - Ward spent 35 years of his working life in the finance and information technology industries, focusing on project management, product development and marketing, and operational and financial management. Ward has been a parish Warden in the past, and has chaired a parish Church Restoration Committee and a parish Outreach Committee. Ward has also served on the Treasury Board of the Diocese of Toronto for several years, acting as Vice Chair. Ward also originated the Diocese’s Stewardship Development Committee, acting as Chair, and created the “FaithWorks” name.

Since his retirement, Ward has been asked by the Archbishop to act as Parish Administrator for several parishes in Toronto as well as carrying out a parish review for a 2-point parish in Trent-Durham. These appointments were required to rebuild the parishes’ financial record-keeping processes, reduce expenses, develop long-term parish asset management plans, and grow the parish’s income though stewardship development and congregational development programs. Ward included these techniques and templates in his book “ParishWorks”, published by Anglican Book Center Publishing in April of 2007. It is the only book addressing parish administration and management for the Anglican Church of Canada.

Geoff Haddock, BA, CRM, CCIB – Geoff has 29 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has been with AON since 2003 as an Account Manager and is currently serving as the Vice President of Group Risk Solutions. His current responsibilities include management and development of large group affinity insurance programs for professional associations and their members, and industry specific segments such as religion and education. Geoff is the National Account Manager for the Anglican Church of Canada insurance program and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada insurance program as well as the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada insurance program
